Xbox One Xbox Series X Dead Island 2 is an open world. In fact, due to the increase in skills, the last boss fight ends up being the most anti-climactic of the whole game, with little attention needed to take down the final big bad enemy. Dead Island 2 gameplay was shown off, PlayStation 5 teases its new premium controller and Warzone 2.0 may include the rumored DMZ mode. Despite the level scaling of regular zombies, if the player has completed some side quests and explored Hell-A a little, they’ll find their fury mode too overpowered to make the end game as spectacularly bloody as it could have been. Dead Island 2 is a good time, and while we reviewed it on Xbox Series X, we were shocked to find that its very much playable on the Xbox One S (launch model). While it adds a new dynamic to the combat, it also has the unfortunate effect of making the endgame extremely anti-climactic. This lack of balance is particularly notable during the end game when the final skill set is unlocked. This might have been to encourage continuing on with side quests and other missions after the final boss is beaten, but for those who aren’t completionists, the pacing of these unlockables is slightly off. Get your eyes on the first gameplay here.
